Peace and reconciliation through dialogue
"No human coexistence without a world ethic shared by the nations. No peace among nations without peace among the religions. No peace among the religions without dialogue among the religions."
Hans Küng
In our society, there has been a tendency to close borders, retreat from dialogue, and assume certain characteristics of cultures unknown. For this reason and many others, the experience of members of religious communities traveling together to places of great historical and religious significance is deeply transformative.
Illume develops interfaith and ecumenical programs that bring together people of different religious traditions to deepen their knowledge of each others' beliefs and practices. Join us in bringing world religious communities together. We invite the following to partner with us in fostering greater understanding:
- Members of ministerial alliances;
- Leaders and conveners of regional interfaith dialogue groups;
- Interfaith institutes;
- Theological consortiums;
- Professional organizations that serve people of many faith traditions;
- Parishes, congregations, synagogues and mosques that seek to build understanding with other congregations in their community.
